Why Buffalo

Buffalo Meat is very tender and flavorful, has a good source of Omega-3 and Omega-6, has excellent source for vitamins, especially iron, calcium, zinc, potassium, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, selenium, and traces of B6 and B12. Bison meat also is low in sodium, calories, and less cholesterol than skinless chicken.

Many ranchers do not handle the bison very often and also do not use chemicals, hormones or drugs.

The nutritional value of buffalo meat is one of many reasons the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, and the American Dietetic Association all endorse the consumption of buffalo meat as part of healthy, low-fat, low-cholesterol diets.

For those people that have heart conditions, diabetes, and/or trying to lose weight; buffalo meat is doctor recommended. We know you've probably heard from someone that if you want to eat healthy, eat bison.

"...But, what was better than any snack I've had in a long time was a free sample of cooked bison meat I got during a recent trip to the market... Bison (also known as buffalo) is becoming increasingly popular in America. It's sometimes called the "better red meat" and is great choice for people who are looking for ways to reap health benefits from the foods they eat." - Michele Cheplic, Health Families
